Renée Zellweger joins Only Murders in the Building Season 5
Oscar-winning actress Renée Zellweger has officially joined the cast of Only Murders in the Building as its fifth season enters production. Hulu/ Disney+ revealed the news by parodying Marvel’s ongoing Avengers: Doomsday casting announcements.
Taking to X, @OnlyMurdersHulu posted the actress’ surname on a black director’s chair, mimicking the ongoing announcement rollout of Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday. Zellweger will have a “recurring guest star role,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Zellweger most recently starred in the successful Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, and Only Murders will mark a return to TV after three years.
Whilst her character details are being kept under wraps, the actress will be joined by Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained, No Time to Die) and Keegan-Michael Key (Transformers One, Wonka). Selena Gomez, Martin Short and Steve Martin are set to return after each earning Golden Globe nominations for their work on Season 4.
