Punk Til’ I Die In New Green Room UK Trailer
The Ripcordz sang about ‘Punk Til’ I Die’ in Jeremy Saulnier‘s anarchic horror thriller The Green Room, a young punk band might just live (and die) to lyrics of that classic song, watch new UK trailer.
He was fearless in Star Trek and composed mentor in X-Men in his latest chiller you’ll never see Patrick Stewart in the same light ever again.
In Green Room, Down-on-their-luck punk rockers The Ain’t Rights agree to a last-minute gig in a backwards Oregon roadhouse. The gig soon takes a sinister turn as the band members stumble upon a grisly murder scene and find themselves targeted by a ruthless club owner and his associates, determined to eliminate all witnesses.
After a fantastic Festival run which saw the film take in Glasgow Film Festival last month is ready to slam dance at cinema near you soon. Apart from been a fan of the brilliant Blue Ruin (Saulnier’s previous film), I grew up listening to punk and hardcore as well as designing DIY punk posters in Glasgow. The prospect of Stewart playing a nazi loving club owner was too good not to miss, the film made the list of favourite films for the fest too.
This film graphically has it’s moments few that nearly gave us some brown trouser moments. Saulnier holds nothing back here like he did on his last movie and plays on the old saying been in the wrong place at wrong time. Superb performances throughout from the menacing, cold calculating Stewart, levelheaded support from Blue Ruin lead Macon Blair. Alia Shawkat who rarely gets praise in any her roles is equally worthy of the part. The trailer really plays on the psychological fears rather than the previous trailer which showcased the comedic side of the film.
Green Room is set for a (un)lucky release of 13th May in UK. The film also co-stars Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots, Joe Cole, Mark Webber and Callum Turner.
