Protests Begin In New ‘Blue Jean’ Clip
Ahead of next week’s release of the critically acclaimed British indie Blue Jean, Altitude Film have released a new clip.
Rosie McEwan is a PE Teacher in Newcastle during the 1980’s. All thanks Margaret Thatcher’s government ruling introduced called Section 28 she has to live a double life, that life maybe about to be exposed thanks to a new student.
Entitled ‘You Can’t Just Tell’, Jean learns that people have begun to protest the proposed Section 28 bill. All the while, she learns how she will need to conduct herself at work.

England, 1988 – Margaret Thatcher’s Conservative government are about to pass a law stigmatising gays and lesbians, forcing Jean, a PE teacher, to live a double life. As pressure mounts from all sides, the arrival of a new girl at school catalyses a crisis that will challenge Jean to her core.
The film stars Kerrie Hayes and newcomer Lucy Halliday as Lois. Along side Stacy Abalogun, Lydia Page , Amy Booth-Steel and Farrah Cave round out the outstanding British cast.
Blue Jean is set for a 10th February UK and Irish cinema release date. There will be some special previews this coming week with many including a special Q& A with the filmmakers.
