Production Starts On Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2

Production has now officially started on season 2 of Fate: The Winx Saga. Back in February Netflix confirmed the new season was coming and today in a Behind The Scenes Video sees the cast chatting together as well as a table read.

Returning cast include Abigail Cowen as Bloom, Hannah van der Westhuysen as Stella, Precious Mustapha as Aisha, Eliot Salt as Terra, Elisha Applebaum as Musa, Sadie Soverall as Beatrix, Freddie Thorp as Riven, Danny Griffin as Sky, Theo Graham as Dane, Jacob Dudman as Sam, Ken Duken as Andreas and Rob James Collier as Silva. They are joined by new cast members Brandon Grace as Grey, ร‰anna Hardwicke as Sebastian and Paulina Chรกvez as Flora.

Back to the behind the scenes promo, plays like an home video. It’s not a long video shot in the location of of the series, Wicklow Ireland.

The series follows the coming-of-age journey of five fairies attending Alfea, a magical boarding school in the Otherworld where they must learn to master their powers while navigating love, rivalries, and the monsters that threaten their very existence. From creator Brian Young (THE VAMPIRE DIARIES), FATE: THE WINX SAGA is a live-action reimagining of the Italian cartoon series WINX CLUB by Iginio Straffi.

This series is set up for at least 3 season, though their appears they could stretch to 8. If it will stretch that far may depend on popularity especially when the debut season was greeted to mixed reviews.

Brian Young (The Vampire Diaries) will return as Showrunner and Executive Producer.

Further Executive Producers include Judy Counihan and Kris Thykier from Archery Pictures (Riviera, The State) plus Joanne Lee and Cristiana Buzzelli from Rainbow.

There is no word yet when Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2 will be be launched on Netflix.
