The drama will focus on Katherine Parr, on of King Henry VIII’s six wives who was considered a risk taker. This was a time when being a protestant was prohibited which could also cost you your life. Marring the insane King was certainly a risky move, a then Catholic king who beheaded his previous wives  for not giving him a son. She was however able to push her own religious and political beliefs on the King who would convert to become a Protestant.

This is not the first time Parr’s story has been on the the screen, however this drama be one of the first that purely focus on Parr. No release date has been announced from STX Films who will release the film in the UK and Ireland.
