Pixar Is Jazzing It Up In The Afterlife In Teaser For ‘Soul’

Pixar Animation Studios has released its first sneak peak teaser trailer for their upcoming film, ‘Soul’.

Directed by Pete Docter, the visionary director behind Pixar classics such as ‘Monsters Inc’, ‘Up’ and ‘Inside Out’‘Soul’ follows Joe Gardner (Jamie Foxx), a middle school music teacher who has long dreamed of performing jazz music on stage. Gardner gets his chance when he’s booked as the opening act at the Half Note Club, a real jazz club in New York City. But his jazz debut is put in jeopardy when an accident causes his soul to be separated from his body, sending him to the “You Seminar,” a place where souls develop and gain passions before being placed in a newborn child. Joe must enlist help from the other souls-in-training, including 22 (Tina Fey) , a soul who has spent aeons in the You Seminar, in order to get back to New York.

Docter is a two-time Oscar winner director at Pixar, so I have no doubt in my mind we’re in for yet another visual and emotional delight in this next project!

Soul releases in UK cinemas June 2020. Check out the teaser trailer below!
