Patrick Wilson Is Good Man Turned Bad In Reckless UK Trailer

Reckless

He maybe compelling demonic entities in The Conjuring 2 at the moment but in his next film Patrick Wilson  is a good man turned bad in Reckless. Ahead of it’s DVD release next month Arrow Films have sent us over the film’s UK trailer as a upcoming future in politics destroyed thanks to one night of passion with a escort.

In Reckless we meet Sam Ellis (Patrick Wilson – The Conjuring, Fargo) is a man on the rise. A hotshot federal prosecutor on the cusp of a bright political future with a beautiful and ambitious wife (Lena Heady – Game of Thrones). But what was meant to be a one-time experience with a high-end escort instead turns into a growing addiction. His moral compass unravelling, his new demon threatens to destroy his life, family and career, especially as Coaker (Ray Winstone), a seasoned hack and old family acquaintance, suspects his extra-marital exploits and plans to expose him.

Our sister site Cinehouse actually caught Reckless world premiere at 2015 Sundance Film Festival under it’s original name Zipper. Scott Clark who reviewed it said it was a “bit of a run of the mill thriller, but a real honesty at its heart and a terrific performance from Patrick Wilson. A worthwhile political thriller” . It certainly looks a deliciously dark and provocative thriller, a rare actually aimed at adults rather than populist (and times very negative) 12A rating. Wilson has been one of that actors whose been on the border line in receiving a leading role in a main stream film, though his run in the independent film circuit has been fairly successful one.

Reckless is set for a direct to DVD release in UK&Ireland from Arrow Films on 25th July. The film also stars Ray Winstone, Richard Dreyfuss, Dianna Agron and John Cho. We will be reposting the review here at The Peoples Movies, stay tuned.
