Netflix has released a brand new trailer (and poster) for their upcoming fantasy horror Frankenstein, which you can watch below!
Only Monsters play god, and in Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein, is Oscar Isaac the true monster? There’s a lot to get excited about when it comes to a Del Toro film. Mary Shelley’s classic story plays on the idea that love is more than beauty; it’s what’s in your heart. This new promo pushes the horror elements and asks: Is this truly a horror film?
Isaac is Victor Frankenstein with Jacobi Elordi playing his ‘monster’. This one also stars Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Charles Dance, Christian Convery, and Ralph Ineson.
This new trailer does highlight why this film had to have a cinema release. Del Toro doesn’t make small films for small screens; they’re for cinemas. The early festival reviews state this, and this looks intense, and the monster feels so different, too. Jacob Elordi is on the up when it comes to his career, and this looks to diversify his acting range.
