EE Baftas 2026: One Battle After Another, Sinners & I Swear Win Big

British Film was celebrated last night at the 2026 EE Baftas at London’s Royal Festival Hall, hosted by Scottish actor, producer and writer Alan Cumming. 

Fan favourites among the nominations included Marty Supreme by Josh Safdie, starring Timothée Chalamet; Paul Thomas Anderson’s politically charged rollercoaster One Battle After Another, featuring award winners Leonardo DiCaprio and Teyana Taylor. There is also Chloé Zhao’s emotionally devastating yet visually stunning Hamnet, starring Ireland’s treasures Paul Mescal, Jessie Buckley and Ryan Coogler’s genre-bending, historically significant Sinners.

Following the achievement of earning the most nominations with a total of 14 up for grabs, One Battle After Another took home six trophies, becoming the highest-winning feature of the night. Kirk Jones’s heartfelt biographical film I Swear, Guillermo del Toro’s re-telling of the horror novel Frankenstein, and Sinners tied for second place with three awards each, and Hamnet earned two wins.

The People’s Movies’ Erin Mussett and Lily Hitchen were live at the scene to provide the full list of winners.
