Noel Clarke Been Beamed Up For A Part In JJ Abrams Star Trek Sequel?

To some folks get annoyed he’s virtually in everything British on the small and big screen. To others they love what he does, Noel Clarke is a hard working actor, writer and director making a name for himself in filmland and it looks like he maybe about to ascend into the big league. According to Variety they are reporting the young British actor is about to join ever increasing rumored cast for JJ Abrams sequel for Star Trek.

The report doesn’t give away any specifics of what part Clarke will play with Variety revealing only play a  family man, with a wife and a young daughter. That description you could place in any film, this gives nothing away. Will he be a Starfleet officer? Will he be a follower of Khan or whoever the baddies will be this time? No one knows at this stage but the filming is due to shoot very shortly so do expect announcements on the cast and if he’ll be joining fellow Brit Alice Eve, Robocop Peter Weller. He could also be joined also by Edgar Ramirez and Jordi Molla as Khan, may the best Vulcan death grip win there!

It’s great news to see a young British actor potentially about to hit the bigtime in Hollywood, I’m not his favourite fan however I can give credit to the actor for his determination, hard work to make an name for himself. Probably to many non Brits/Irish he’ll probably be well known as Mickey the boyfriend of Rose Tyler in David Tennant’s stint as Doctor Who  TV Series but it was a few year before that his break through on television as Wyman Norris the illegitimate son of Wayne (played by the late Gary Holton)in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet. At the same Clarke was attempting to make an name for himself in British film with Gritty Drama’s Kidulthood then Adulthood films that Clarke flexed his writing talents on to and more recently directing 4,3,2,1 .

2012 will be a busy year for the Orange Rising Star Bafta winner with 3 films coming out this year but will he be filming this year in Star Trek 2? Star Trek 2 is set for a Summer 2013 release filming starting this month so stay tuned for official cast info.
