We’re now getting very close to the release date for Nimrod Antal’s reworking of the Predators movie which will be out this Thursday 8th July (when it’ll be up against Twilight Eclipse which opens 9th July uk), so this week the cast and crew will be doing the press junket interviews to promote the movie.
When it open’s as normal the scrutiniser will be out and im sure the criticisers will have already wrote there displeasure for the remake even before they have seen any of the movie, I will be seeing it next weekend review will follow. So now that movie has been done questions are been asked…’what next next Nimrod?’
The Playlist caught up with Nimrod asking him about Predators as well as his next project which will be Paraffin a dystopian thriller, usually a movie with dystopia it’ll have a big sci-fi connection, here’s what he said:
I have a passion project that I’ve been writing for a few years called, Paraffin. I’m going to try to get that going. But at the same time I’m just keeping my options open and trying to appreciate the moment…[Paraffin] is actually the one I wanted to write and direct right after ‘Kontroll.’ So that’s what I’m doing next.
I can give you a teaser: men and women will build a boat out of plastic bottles in Cuba to escape oppression, right? So imagine if our world has become that [kind of] oppression. You aren’t building plastic bottle boats anymore, you have to build something else to get out of here.
“Yeah. Well, listen,” Antal said. “I’m down. Are you?”
