You can’t stop a wave and in Lorcan Finnegan‘s The Surfer, you can’t stop Nicolas Cage! Vertigo Releasing have dropped the UK Trailer with Cage at ‘breaking point’.

The question many of you will be asking, “Will we get the Cage Rage in this one?” Yes!

The Surfer is Lorcan Finneganโ€™s forth film Without Name, Vivarium and more recently Nocebo. Cage in this one an American who grew up in Australia who returns to the beach he surfed at. Returning with his son and he’s confronted and humiliated by a group of local surfers who make fun of him., pushed to breaking point.

Finnegan’s films are no ordinary films. Imogen Poots and Jesse Eisenberg are put through the rafters in the nightmarish twilight zone-esque Vivarium. The Surfer looks like it will slide into Falling Down (Michael Douglas) territory. It also looks like this one surfs into unexpected areas and going by some of the reviews, it’s bonkers territory.
