We’re loving the roles Hugh Grant is picking more nowadays like in Heretic. A chance to to see an unhinged version testing your faith and Entertainment Film Distributors (EFD Films) announce the UK release date.
For a long time Grant has been in those Four Weddings And A Funeral role, now it’s the darker roles. Could we say this one will be his darkest one yet? What we can see from the UK Trailer below, question everything!
Heretic is directed by duo Scott Beck and Bryan Woods whose last film was 65 starring Adam Driver. They are the writing duo behind A Quiet Place films, and Haunt (which they directed too).
We’ve been hearing a lot about this film from it’s U.S promotion from A24. It’s a film that looks like it won’t go for jump scares more unease, dread, living up to his psychological thriller premise. In Heretic Sophie Thatcher (The Boogeyman) and Chloe East are Mormon Missionaries hoping to save someone. They went door to door and unfortunately chapped the door of Mr Reed (Grant) who will ensnare them in game of survival.
Faith is tested daily and never judge a cover by the book, or it will cost you possibly your life. Why this film is called what it is, we don’t know from this promo, we are very curious now.
The highly anticipated psychological thriller unfolds as two young missionaries are forced to prove their faith when they knock on the wrong door and are greeted by a diabolical Mr. Reed (Hugh Grant), becoming ensnared in his deadly game of cat-and-mouse.
Heretic will be released in the UK and Ireland in cinemas from 1st November.
