Marvel fans rejoice! The new trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron is here, and it shows a whole host of new footage from the upcoming blockbuster. Joss Whedon returns as writer and director, and judging from the trailers (one was also released in October – watch here) the film promises to be as action-packed as the previous film, Avengers Assemble.
In Avengers: Age of Ultron, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) creates an army of peacekeeping drones, to try to ease the pressure off him and his world-saving friends. Unfortunately, things start to go awry when highly intelligent A.I. Ultron (James Spader) reckons that mankind is actually the biggest threat to Earth, and attempts to wipe us out starting with the Avengers. Making matters worse, Ultron is able to download himself to any technical device in the world.
In the new trailer, it looks like cracks are beginning to show in the team, with Iron Man and the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) going head-to-head on the street. We also see some mysterious footage of a lady walking into a lake, and Andy Serkis also makes an appearance. What could it all mean? Luckily, we only have until 24th April to find out, a couple of days ahead of our American cousins.
Avengers: Age of Ultron also stars Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Hiddleston, Don Cheadle, Paul Bettany, and Thomas Kretschmann.
