New Terminator:Genisys Images Offers First Look At T-800
He’s been saying it for decades and this July he will certainly will be BACK when Arnold Schwarzenegger returns to the franchise he helped to build with Terminator:Genisys arrives in UK cinemas.
Today we get another look at the upcoming ‘reworking’ of the original film with a look at a new image which shows off the T-800 with the classic look getting a ‘makeover’.
Fans of the franchise will know Arnie himself played the T-800 series terminator in the iconic 1984 cult film though we only saw him in the flesh, with him revealing his true nature in the big finale. As you’ll have seen in the first trailer for the new film the T-800 was not the only type of Terminator which will be unleashing their deadly force, the’liquid’ form T-1000 last seen in second and third film. It looks like Korean film star Byung Hun Lee (G.I Joe, Red 2, I Saw The Devil) will be the T-1000 but will he be joined by former Doctor Who Star Matt Smith?
Even after the first trailer we still don’t have the official Synopsis but what we can gather is Terminator:Genisys will be set in 1984 again , an alternative timeline from the original film. Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) first meets the Terminator (Schwarzenegger) at the age of 9 raising and training her to be able to take care of herself. So when 1984 arrives along with the arrival of Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) she already equipped to take on the terminators.
Jason Clarke and J.K Simmons also star with Terminator:Genisys arriving in UK& Ireland from 3rd July.
