Guy Ritchie‘s King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword has all about the Arthur(Charlie Hunnam), the young man robbed of his true birthright. Today his Uncle Vortigern played by Jude Law (who stole that right) takes centre stage in a new character poster, Smug, self centred, cold, emotionalness but that’s largely thanks to his black heart. Great to see the British actor play a ‘villain’ role rather than the protagonist, not that he’s no stranger to the dark side just refreshing, fun to play a different role.
When the child Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy…whether he likes it or not.
King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword will now be released in the UK &Ireland on 12th May. Co-starring Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Djimon Hounsou, Aidan Gillen, and Eric Bana.
