Daniel Radcliffe’s Punchy, powerful and prescient thriller Imperium hits UK cinemas on 23rd September and today we have a new intense clip. No more boy wizards and it may only be 5 years since he was last Harry Potter the young actor hasn’t taken the easiest of routes. On his pursuit for higher glory from satanic curses to farting corpses and now Neo nazi, he’s certainly taking a path that tests his character and versatility.
In the new clip called’It’s Left‘ an extremely intense scene in which undercover FBI agent, Nate (Radcliffe), is interrogated by a white supremacist cult leader. So what’s your opinion on Infiltration?
September seems to be the month of the undercover cops with Bryan Cranston going undercover in The Infiltrator to sting Escobar’s Miami based Cartel. Tackling Nazis might just be a different ball game which could see you change character. As you’ll see in the clip, they maybe the lowest of all lows but they have their ways to catch out informants, clip suggests the people whom Nate is trying to capture might have people in the law! Cover only runs so deep!
Inspired by real events and the experiences of ex-FBI agent Michael German, IMPERIUM follows Nate Foster, an idealistic young FBI agent who is selected to go undercover amongst a group of white supremacists suspected of initiating a terrorist plot. Immersed in a deeply unsettling, hate-filled world, Nate must fight to maintain control of his own beliefs and principles whilst working to identify the threat and keeping his true identity and motives a secret.
Starring Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter, Now You See Me 2) as Foster in what is being hailed as his more powerful, transformative role to date, and featuring an outstanding supporting performance from Toni Collette (Miss You Already, Krampus) as his wisecracking fellow FBI agent, Imperiumalso features a stellar supporting cast, including Burn Gorman (TV’s Torchwood, The Dark Knight Rises), Tracy Letts (The Big Short, TV’s Homeland), Nestor Carbonell (The Dark Knight Rises, TV’s Bates Motel), and Sam Trammell (TV’s True Blood, The Fault In Our Stars).
We have a review for Imperium which you can read from Monday (19th) and catch the film itself when it gets an cinema release in UK&Ireland from 23rd September courtesy of Signature Entertainment.
