Parents will always wonder what their kids are up to locked for hours in their bedrooms? Would you expect what they do like in Gran Turismo will lead to their dream job? Ahead of next week’s cinema release Sony Pictures have sent us a few new Vignettes that will follow that impossible dream.

Based on the Playstation video game, teen Jann Mardenborough (Archie Madekwe) is a great video gamer who dreams of become a GT Racer one day. That dream did become true when he used his gaming skills to race for real around the world including Japan.

We have seen this film and will share our views soon with you closer to release time. Fans of the original Playstation game will notice elements from the game in the film. What they are you’ll have to go see the film next.

The first promo is ‘Jann’s Story’ and if there’s going to be anyone telling the story, it’s the real Jann Mardenborough. Telling how it was and Jann might pop up in the video below as well!

The second Vignette, ‘Impossible Dream‘ showcases no dream is impossible. The cast once again chat about following your dream, jump over those hurdles believe in yourself.

Based on the true story of Jann Mardenborough, the film is the ultimate wish fulfilment tale of a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional race car driver.

The film also stars Orlando Bloom, David Harbour, Darren Barnet, Thomas Kretschmann, Djimon Hounsou, and Geri Halliwell.

Gran Turismo will now be in UK and Irish cinemas from a slightly earlier release date of 9th August.
