Marriage is a fundamental right, even an interracial marriage. No matter your religion, gender, sexuality or in the case of Jeff Nicholl‘s Loving colour of your skin.

This week we met our young lovers in question Richard (Joel Edgerton) and Mildred (Ruth Negga), today we meet Bernie Cohen played by Nick Kroll. In a new featurette comedic actor chats about playing the attorney that represented the Loving’s and their case to have the right to love, marry and raise their family during civil rights era. The USA like to call themselves ‘The Free World’ but you get jailed for loving someone whose skin colour is different.Nowadays the reasons may be different but in the day the Loving case it was history in the making and the second featuretteMaking of…‘ delves into the making of Loving.

Loving celebrates the real-life courage and commitment of an interracial couple, Richard and Mildred Loving, who married and then spent the next nine years fighting for the right to live as a family in their hometown. Their civil rights case, Loving v. Virginia, went all the way to the Supreme Court, which in 1967 reaffirmed the very foundation of the right to marry – making their love story an inspiration to couples everywhere.

Loving is set for 3rd February UK cinema release and co-stars Ruth Negga, Joel Edgerton, Michael Shannon.
