As we go on about Fincher’s The Girl With Dragon Tattoo ย been the forgotten film there is one film we have all forgotten about and that’s Martin Scorsese’s HUGO ! The icon director renowned auteur, renowned for his dark gritty as well bloody films making his first adventure into family entertainment ย but also his first attempt at the dreaded 3D a technology that the film maker was against for many years suddenly he loves it …$$$

To prove hisย allegiance to the darkside 3Dย  Paramount Pictures have released this fantastic little trailer-featurette which frankly alot stronger than the trailer we forgot about, the one that came out back in July. The only negative thing about this featurette is the crap emo-rock score which does nothing apart from put you off the film and this is coming from someone who was brought up on rock, punk and metal!

Everyone loves film festivals ย and one of my favourites is the ever popular surprise film as you don’t know what to expect could be a classic or a new one , New York is hosting its festival so is New York’s film making son bringing his new one to NYC? According toย ย Deadlineย he is though it will be only a test version not a fully treated film but that wont spoil the enjoyment of ย Hugo and talking of release dates Hugo will arrive in UK&Ireland from December 9th (November 23rd USA). HUGO starsย Chloe Moretz, Asa Butterfield, Jude Law,ย Ben Kingsley, Ray Winstone, Christopher Leeย andย Sacha Baron Cohen

Hugo tells the story of an orphan boy living a secret life in the walls of a Paris train station. With the help of an eccentric girl, he searches for the answer to a mystery linking the father he recently lost, the ill-tempered toy shop owner living below him and a heart shaped lock, seemingly without a key. Based on Brian Selznickโ€™s award winning and imaginative New York Times bestseller, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, this magical tale is Academy Award-winner Martin Scorseseโ€™s first film shot in 3D.
