New featurette for Ex_Machina explores the ethics of A.I.
Alex Garland’s first film as writer and director, Ex_Machinaย looks to be a film that will sneak up on audiences. Released in the UK amidst all the award contenders, hopefully the fascinating film will find it’s audience. With Garland responsible for underrated sci-fi filmย Sunshine, and the two main leads, Oscar Isaac and Domhnall Gleeson both set toย play supporting roles in next December’sย Star Wars: The Force Awakens,ย the film has some serious sci-fi chops behind it.
A clip from the film was released earlier in the week, showing Isaac asking Gleeson about the Turing test – the artificial intelligence test creating by Alan Turing. In the interesting new featurette, we see both actors, and director Garland discuss the ethics connected with artificial intelligence, and discuss the film in a bit more depth.
