FLYING HIGH – In Disney’s new live-action adventure “Dumbo,” a newborn elephant with giant ears discovers he can fly, and he’s destined to be a star, which may or may not be a good thing. Directed by Tim Burton, “Dumbo” flies into theaters on March 29, 2019.

New Dumbo Featurette Soars To New Heights

The story of Dumbo needs no explanation, its one of Disney’s greatest ever animations. at the end of this month a new Dumbo will grace our screens, which will be a historical moment.

Disney Studios may not be unearthing as many original films as they used to, what they are doing is embracing technology. Since those early days technology has drastically improved year by year, that good live action films can have animated characters. This may not be anything new but the fine detail now so impressive, you sometimes have to look, look and look to see its animation. Realism is so impressive that now our titular Elephant can play with the real cast.

Below Disney Studios has sent us this short behind the scenes Featurette that showcases that technology. Giving us our best look at Tim Burton‘s version of the classic tale as it soars to new heights…

From Disney and visionary director Tim Burton, the all-new grand live-action adventure “Dumbo” expands on the beloved classic story where differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight. Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) enlists former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland. Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant (Eva Green), until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets.

Dumbo will be flying into UK and Irish Cinemas 29th March 2019. Starring Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, Eva Green, Alan Arkin, Finley Hobbins, and, Nico Parker.
