New Alien: Covenant Clip Is Sigourney Weaver ‘MUTHUR’?

In seven days time (or fourteen days if you’re in the USA) Ridley Scott‘s Alien: Covenant will finally arrive in UK& Irish cinemas and 20th Century Fox Pictures keen to give the movie one last push. They have sent us another movie clip called ‘She Won’t go quietly‘ and when survival is her only option, she won’t go quietly.Daniels (Katherine Waterston) teams up with MUTHUR, the Covenant’s onboard Artificial Intelligence, to take out a hostile alien threat.

If anything this clip, is like another short movie, next to the short last which gave us an idea on what happened to Dr Shaw (Noomi Rapace) tieing up the Prometheus movie to this storyline. Could this clip also show off a potential unwelcomed guest announced by the ship’s onboard AI, MUTHUR. This system was also in the original movie and your ears are not deceiving you, MUTHUR is voiced by franchise legend, Sigourney Weaver. When this movie was announced there were rumours Weaver was returning to the franchise she helped to shape, but what form we didn’t know. When you check the likes of IMDB Lorelei King state to be the AI, there is, however, another rumour that connects Daniels with AI. We’re not going to say anymore, see if you can guess or wait for the movies itself and see if it reveals anything?!

The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

Alien: Covenant is set to land in UK&Ireland from 12th May (USA 19th May) and will have a crew that consists of Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, Benjamin Rigby.
