Anatomy Of A Scandal

Netflix have announced that Sienna Miller, Michelle Dockery, and Rupert Friend will lead the cast of their upcoming Originals series, Anatomy Of A Scandal.

The six part series will be based on the international bestselling novel Anatomy of a Scandal by Sarah Vaughan. Described as an insightful and suspenseful series about sexual consent and privilege set in London.

Sienna Miller will play Sophie Whitehouse who is an Oxford graduate, a wife and a mother of two whose perfectly charmed life is about to implode.

Michelle Dockery who will play Kate Woodcroft, QC, An steely criminal barrister specializing in prosecuting sexual crimes who’s risen quickly in her field, and just got handed the case of a lifetime.

Finally Rupert Friend is set to play James Whitehouse who is an ambitious and charismatic junior minister who has always shared his wife’s good fortune—until now.

The series is an anthology series with talk of potential future seasons to focusing on different scandals. The BBC series, A Very English Scandal (Hugh Grant and Ben Whishaw) could be a potential inspiration to future seasons. With very few Netflix series with a long shelf life, they will have deliver a successful first season.

The showrunner/Executive Producers for the series will be David E.Kelley (Big Little Lies, Goliath) who recently was the showrunner for The Undoing which starred Nicole Kidman. He willbe joined by Melissa James Gibson (House of Cards, The Americans). All episodes will be directed (and Executive Produced) by S.J. Clarkson (Jessica Jones, The Defenders).

Anatomy Of A Scandal is set to be filmed before the end of 2020 in the UK, with a 2021 launch exclusively on Netflix.
