Netflix drops Bridgerton season four's part two trailer

Netflix’s smash hit Bridgerton saw the release of the first part of its fourth season this month and the platform has just dropped a revealing trailer for the second part.

Bridgerton season 4 part two is scheduled for a 26th February release. The love story this season takes on a Cinderella-inspired layout with its focus on maid Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), who has just captured the eye and heart of the affluent and adored Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) after sneaking into a masquerade ball in disguise.

Benedict Bridgerton is undergoing ongoing pressure from his mother Violet (Ruth Gemmell) to find this season’s ‘diamond’ and wed her. He is the second-born Bridgerton child out of a total of eight children (four boys and four girls), characterised as harmonising sophisticated art with cheek. Benedict has yet to follow in the path of his older brother Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and marry.

Part one came in the format of four episodes, ending with Benedict offering Sophie (whose masked alias is known as The Lady in Silver) the chance to become his mistress. Sophie is the illegitimate child of Lord Pennyworth (Arthur Lee) and works at the Bridgerton mansion as a humble maid with her oppressive stepmother Araminta (Katie Leung) committing herself to making sure Sophie never steps out of line.

As the latest trailer showcases some intimate imagery of a potentially shared bath, fans are eager to see what decision Sophie will eventually make and another classic Bridgerton slow-burner love story flourish.

The first part’s end reportedly hinted at the return of season two’s central couple Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley).
