“My Precious!”- THE HOBBIT Teaser Trailer Arriving End of The Year!
December 2012 The Hobbit An Unexpected Journey will be released however December 2011 We will see the films first official Trailer! Speaking to  IGN Andy Serkis who is reprising his role as Gollum for the 2 parter Lord of The Rings Prequel  as well as second unit director told the site the films first trailer is coming very soon.
“There will be a trailer fairly soon, actually. Around Christmas time, I believe.”
The actor didn’t make it clear if the teaser trailer will just be for the first part or a generalised trailer covering the whole of the prequel however the prospect of seeing some footage of the anticipated LOTR Prequels is fantastic. It’s likely the trailer will play in front of one of the big Christmas blockbusters with Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows opening on December 16th been big favourite simply because both films are Warner Bros films. Around the same time in USA there is a possibility of the trailer playing in front of Adventures of Tintin  which opens December 23rd, there is also Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol on December 26th route too and if this is the film that will be one amazing preview which already has the 6 minute Dark Knight Rises Prologue playing, so who said previews are boring?
Andy Serkis was also asked about assisting Peter Jackson as  the second unit director, he added:
“It’s quite fascinating. I’m having a ball. It’s a huge operation, really. We’re on the road at the moment, at various different locations on South Island in New Zealand.-
There are some truly remarkable landscapes that we’re filming in. It’s just stunning.”
