All About The Music In New La La Land Featurette

It’s hard to believe how one dimensional we can be when it comes to movie genres and one of those forgotten genres is the Musical. Once the meat and potatoes of Hollywood and ready to make a comeback next month when La La Land transports us back to the golden age but with a modern twist. In a new behind the scenes featurette.

Discover how the intensely beautiful score was created with director Damien Chazelle, composer Justin Hurwitz and producer Fred Berger, and explore behind the scenes at the live orchestral recordings that makes La La Land a truly magical experience. Also hear Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling’s talk about the music and production that they are passionately involved in. Check out the promo…

La La Land tells the story of Mia [Emma Stone], an aspiring actress, and Sebastian (Ryan Gosling), a dedicated jazz musician, who are struggling to make ends meet in a city known for crushing hopes and breaking hearts. Set in modern day Los Angeles, this original musical about everyday life explores the joy and pain of pursuing your dreams.

Since it’s world premiere at Venice Film Festival earlier this year, the hyperbole of excitement for the movie kicked off and hasn’t stopped getting since. The reviews back every positive word said about the movie and even if your not a fan of the music you can’t deny it’s infectious. Nothing wrong with a bit of old school cinema magic and will probably see this movie win plenty of awards, possibly Oscars.

La La Land will dance into your heart when it arrives in UK&Irish cinemas from 12th January 2017 (USA limited 9th, full release 16th December). The movie also stars John Legend, Rosemarie DeWitt, Finn Wittrock, Callie Hernandez, Sonoya Mizuno, Jessica Rothe, Tom Everett Scott, Josh Pence.
