MUBI Unveil The Worst Person In The World UK Trailer

It’s been gathering the plaudits since it’s world premiere at last year’s Cannes Film Festival and next month Joachim Trier‘s The Worst Person In The World will arrive in UK. Ahead of that release MUBI have released the first UK (teaser) Trailer, possibly offering that alternative romance film.

The award winning film is the third film in the director’s Oslo Trilogy (Reprise and Oslo August 31st the others) as well as being Norway’s shortlisted Oscar contender.  The film stars Renate Reinsve  (winner of best actress at Cannes), as Julie an young woman tackling the hurdles of life and love. Struggling to find work forcing her to question the meaning of life.

This is only a teaser trailer that runs just under a minute long and it’s quotes friendly. It’s really pushing the fact the critics have been loving this film whilst the footage shows the chaos and intensity of Julie’s life. Looking forward to this one!

The Worst Person In The World revolves around Julie, a vibrant and impulsive young woman who, on the verge of turning thirty, is faced with a series of drastic choices that force her to continually reinvent and pursue new perspectives on her life. Over the course of several years, Julie navigates multiple love affairs, existential uncertainty and career dissatisfaction as she slowly starts deciding what she wants to do, who she wants to be with, and ultimately who she wants to become.

The film also stars Anders Danielsen Lie, Herbert Nordrum, Hans Olav Brenner, Helene Bjørneby, Vidar Sandem, Maria Grazia Di Meo, Lasse Gretland, Karen Røise Kielland, Marianne Krogh, Thea Stabell, and Deniz Kaya.

The Worst Person In The World will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from 25th March. The film will have 2 previews next week in London on 11th February and 13th February. This time next month the film will make it’s Scottish Premiere at The Glasgow Film Festival, on 4th March with an extra screening on 5th [more info/book].
