Today in UK &Ireland Gareth Edwards MONSTERS finally is released. The movie has done the rounds in the film festivals to mostly positive reviews and now its finally arrived to be shown cinematically so we can see how good the movie is been promoted to be.

Monsters is a prime example of micro budget movie proving can be more succesfull than there big budget compadres. As for the constant District 9 similarties its nothing like it and if you want to say it is the only remote similar part i the fact aliens came to earth years before and now there ‘residents’, this is an road movie with monsters in it but it is also a look at immigration as Edwards says in the interview, a topic which is very sensitive in Mexico due to the fact America’s stance on the whole topic, if anything Monsters is closer to Machete (which also is an attack on American/Mexican Immigration).

Our Friends at Screenrush caught up with the movies director Gareth Edwards having a chat about the movie as well as putting to rest the D9 similarties along with how the movie was put together, enjoy….
