Mind Who You Let Inside In New The Shrink Next Door Trailer

From Anchorman to Shrink & patient, Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd reunite for Apple TV+ series The Shrink Next Door. Today Apple has shared the second Trailer for the darkly comedic series that aks ‘Mind who you let inside’.

Based on a Podcast and true events, a crazy tale of a psychiatrist (Rudd) who gets involved more and more in his long-time patient’s life (Ferrell). The deeper he gets, the more vulnerable the patients he exploits them for his own personal gain.

When it comes to confidentiality, Paul Rudd‘s character is as unethical as they get. We’ve seen him play the ‘villain’ before, we’re excited to see Ferrell play someone vulnerable whilst being funny. he’s a broken man plagued with anxiety and we can’t wait to see the bizzare, dark relationship we’re promised here…

Inspired by true events, “The Shrink Next Door” details the bizarre relationship between psychiatrist to the stars Dr. Isaac “Ike” Herschkopf (played by Rudd) and his longtime patient Martin “Marty” Markowitz (played by Ferrell). Over the course of their relationship, the all-too-charming Ike slowly inserts himself into Marty’s life, even moving into Marty’s Hamptons home and persuading Marty to name him president of the family business. The series explores how a seemingly normal doctor-patient dynamic morphs into an exploitative relationship filled with manipulation, power grabs, and dysfunction at its finest. The series also stars Kathryn Hahn as ‘Phyllis,’ Marty’s younger sister, and Casey Wilson as ‘Bonnie’ the wife of Dr. Herschkopf.

The series also includes Kathryn Hahn, Casey Wilson, Gable Swanlund, Sarayu Blue, and Kesia Brooke.

Get Empowered and watch The Shrink Next Door when it premiers on Apple TV+ from 12th November. Launching with the first three episodes, then new episode every Friday after that.
