With Originality a rare commodity these days sometimes you have to make the best in what you’ve got and Paul Feig’s The Heat might not be blessed with original material it doesn’t mean to say it won’t be a fun. Starring Sandra Bullock and girl of the moment Melissa McCarthy as FBI Agent and foul mouthed Boston Police officer who team up to take down a big time drug lord. 2013 is looking like the year of Melissa McCarthy with The Heat, The Hangover Part 3 and Identity Thief all coming will hopefully be her springboard to even bigger things. It’s predictable fun however McCarthy looks to play her unpredictable character card to make this a fun one and with the extra bonus of Bullock playing a edgy role something she usually doesn’t do much make this worth a look.
The Heat arrives in UK&Ireland 5th April 2013 and co-stars Demian Bichir, Marlon Wayans,Tony Hale, Taran Killam, and Michael Rapaport.
