Matt Reeves Drops New Image For The Batman: Part II

As part of Batman Day, which took place on Saturday, September 19th, director Matt Reeves dropped a new still for The Batman: Part II.
The film, which is currently being filmed in London, is being kept under wraps with regard to its plot. The new image sees the Caped Crusader, played by Robert Pattinson, in a shadowy location with little light. We know this sequel to Reeves’ 2022 film takes place in winter, with snow covering Gotham’s streets this time.
Aside from Pattinson returning to the fray, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, Jeffrey Wright, Jayme Lawson, and Gil Perez-Abraham will all reprise their roles in this next instalment. New faces include big names such as Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Charles Dance, Sebastian Koch, and Brian Tyree Henry.

The film is penned by director Matt Reeves and co-writer Mattson Tomlin, a notable change from the first, with Tomlin replacing Peter Craig.
Reeves also took to Twitter to respond to some fan questions regarding the way the film was shot. The movie is shot digitally and then output to film in the post-production process. Explaining why he doesn’t just shoot on film, he said: “Because the level of precision and control over the image you have shooting digitally is indispensable. You know exactly what you are getting. The film out process and choice of lenses allows you to bring a more organic, analog quality back to what you’ve shot. A beautiful, and carefully developed imperfection.”
The Batman: Part II is set to be released in cinemas on February 18th 2028.
