Matt Damon has confirmed that he will reprise his role as Jason Bourne for the fourth time, reuniting with director Paul Greengrass.
Damon had always maintained that he wasn’t prepared to make another Bourne film without Greengrass directing, however speaking to E! News he confirmed the two would work together again.
“It’ll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out. Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that’s all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes.”
The pair had worked together on two of the previous three, Damon-fronted Bourne films: The Bourne Supremacy (2004) and The Bourne Ultimatum (2007), however neither were involved in the 2012 spin off film, The Bourne Legacy.  It is not yet clear where the planned sequel to The Bourne Legacy will fit in with the Damon/Greengrass project.
We can’t wait to see which direction this film takes. Â Roll on 2016!
