Elysium-Matt-Damon

It’s Official, Matt Damon is a skinhead! Don’t believe me? Check out the first official image from ELYSIUM Neil Blomkamp’s Science Fiction which has Matt Damon sporting a new haircut looking mighty mean with a riffle.

The film will be the director’s first film since his 2009 breakout film District 9, but the long overdue wait will be over next March when this film will finally hit the screens. In District 9 covered the topics of Xenophobia, Racism in Elysium the social problem will be class segregation.Set in 2159 in a dystopian future in which the wealth live on a space station Elysium whilst the poor on a overpopulated earth, Whilst Secretary Rhodes (Jodie Foster) attempts more ways to tighten the grip on immigration whilst Earth people attempt to break into Elysium.

Matt Damon does look a right badass probably taking a few leafs out of Jason Bourne and Green Zone books very intimidating with a big gun which has ‘Chemrail’ on it, but who are ‘chemrail’? The other point with this image what side of the fence is Matt Damon’s character on? If he’s on the ‘bad guys’ side will he be a character who will turn? No one knows at this moment.

Elysium has been on the go for a while which started away back at 2011 Comic-Con but with Comic-Con 2012 only days away it’s expected that Sony will finally show off the film’s first footage. Viral site has been up for a whileย  and you can look at it here- www.armadyne.net . Elysium is due out in UK&Ireland March 1st, 2013 and will also star Sharlto Copely, William Fichtner, Jodie Foster, Diego Luna, Alice Braga, and Faran Tahir.

In the year 2159 two classes of people exist: the very wealthy who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Rhodes (Jodie Foster), a hard line government of๏ฌcial, will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium. That doesnโ€™t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in, by any means they can. When unlucky Max (Matt Damon) is backed into a corner, he agrees to take on a daunting mission that if successful will not only save his life, but could bring equality to these polarized worlds.
