Masters Of The Universe Gets Prime Video Release Date
Fans of Masters of the Universe unite! The film has been given its release date for when it will be on streaming service Prime Video for us all to enjoy.
Those who want to watch the film will be able to do so from Wednesday, July 22nd, which marks a 47-day theatrical-to-streaming window. The film starred Prime Video’s Red, White & Royal Blue star Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam, who has been separated from his cosmic kingdom Eternia for 15 years. The Sword of Power soon leads him back to his home planet, where there’s unfinished business with the fiendish rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto). To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), and embrace his true destiny as He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe.

We loved the film here at The Peoples Movies, describing the film as ‘charming and timeless‘ and that it is ‘ultimately a call for audiences to believe in themselves and one another‘.

Our views were positively matched by audiences and critics alike, with the film receiving a B CinemaScore and a critical score of 67% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Although the Travis Knight-directed feature unfortunately didn’t light up the Box Office with $114 million worldwide against a $170–200 million production budget, it leaves questions about a return to the big screen for the franchise.
