Marvel Release Familiar Looking Poster For Thor:The Dark World

With Easter’s release of Iron Man 3 Marvel’s Phase 2 is well under way and this afternoon we get another look at the next film in the phase Thor:The Dark World in the shape of an new poster.

Phase 2 kicking off  months after Avengers film everyone’s favourite Norse God Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is once again defending us measly humans once again. After reuniting with  Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) his Earth love interest he must defend us all against  the might of the evil Malkeith (Christopher Eccleston), leader of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim who send us all into darkness!

Whilst the new poster showcases all the main players in Thor:The Dark World the new posters style has a very familiar look to it, as it’s very similar in style to Iron Man 3. Whilst some critics called Thor good but the weaker of Phase one films we tend to disagree but with Game Of Thrones director Alan Taylor at the helm we expect Thor storyline to lean more into the fantasy realm side of things.

Thor:The Dark World  arrive  in UK& Ireland 30th October  (8th November USA) co-starring Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba,  Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander  with Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins.

Synopsis

Marvel’s Thor:The Dark World continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s Thor and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.
