Martin Scorsese’s HUGO Trailer

You lucky movie fans past day or two you have been treated to some great trailers Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Contagion, The Thing, John Carter, Mission Impossible:Ghost Protocol Japanese trailer and tonight Martin Scorsese’s HUGO.

This is the legendary director’s first movie created in 3D, it’s also his first traditional family movie too and on first impressions we are very impressed. Its beautifully shot as well as blessed with a magical tone and it is refreshing ย to see a director of Scorsese stature try his hand at family entertainment this is an absolutelyย gorgeous looking movie that should go down at treat when it’s released just before Christmas. The wealth of history Scorsese has learned from the pioneers of film likeย Lumiรจreย you can see that inspirationย ย in HUGO as well as get a feeling that this has been a project the filmmakers has wanted to make since his early days in the industry.

This trailer doesn’t reveal too much just enough to tingle your senses to make you to desire to see more, then again this is a Martin Scorsese film and that should be enough to see more of this delightful movie. The movie stars Chloe Moretz, Asa Butterfield, Jude Law(2011 is a busy year with Sherlock Holmes and Contagion), Ben Kingsley, Ray Winstone, Christopher Lee and Sacha Baron Cohenย with the movie opening in UK & Ireland on December 2nd , USA December 9th.

Hugo tells the story of an orphan boy living a secret life in the walls of a Paris train station. With the help of an eccentric girl, he searches for the answer to a mystery linking the father he recently lost, the ill-tempered toy shop owner living below him and a heart shaped lock, seemingly without a key. Based on Brian Selznickโ€™s award winning and imaginative New York Times bestseller, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, this magical tale is Academy Award-winner Martin Scorseseโ€™s first film shot in 3D.
