Mark Wahlberg Unearths A Conspiracy In Spenser Confidential Trailer

Marky Mark and Peter Berg continue their collaboration with Spenser Confidential. Netflix have today released the official Trailer for the upcoming ‘Original’ film as Mark Wahlberg unearths a conspiracy in Boston.

We can clearly say Wahlberg and Berg’s collaborations have been so far very good. Some may argue the previous film Mile 22 was a disaster. The film was flawed but didn’t set alight the box office like previous films. The pair are now regrouping not on the big screen but in the world of Streaming.

Wahlberg plays our titular character Spenser, an ex-cop who makes more trouble than preventing it. After a stint inside prison he finds himself now helping his old boxing coach and mentor (Alan Arkin). He teams up MMA fighter Hawk (Winston Duke) to investigate police murders and a possible conspiracy.

We’ve grown to love Wahlberg and Berg’s films. We see the last film merely a bump in the road, the new film may not light up in originality. It certainly looks at home as a solid Netflix popcorn film…

Spenser (Mark Wahlberg) — an ex-cop better known for making trouble than solving it — just got out of prison and is leaving Boston for good. But first he gets roped into helping his old boxing coach and mentor, Henry (Alan Arkin), with a promising amateur. That’s Hawk (Winston Duke), a brash, no-nonsense MMA fighter convinced he’ll be a tougher opponent than Spenser ever was. When two of Spenser’s former colleagues turn up murdered, he recruits Hawk and his foul-mouthed ex-girlfriend, Cissy (Iliza Shlesinger), to help him investigate and bring the culprits to justice. From director Peter Berg, SPENSER CONFIDENTIAL is an action-comedy co-starring Bokeem Woodbine, Marc Maron and Austin Post. Inspired by Robert B. Parker’s Wonderland, a best-selling novel by Ace Atkins.

The film also stars  Iliza Shlesinger, Austin Post (aka Post Malone), Marc Maron, Bokeem Woodbine.

Spenser Confidential will launch on Netflix on 6th March 2020.
