This angry woman just wants sleep in the trailer for Jed Hart's Restless

They say ‘love thy neighbour‘ and things will be good. Not in Jed Hart‘s Restless as a woman takes on drugged up young men, watch UK Trailer!

The film marks Jed Hart‘s debut feature, and the themes of Restless to many people including myself. We only want a peaceful quite house, disrupted by neighbours who don’t care. In this one Lyndsey Marshal is a mild mannered caregiver pushed to the limits thanks to those new neighbours.

Our senior writer Bradley Hadcroft watched the film at Tribeca Film Festival, last year. Bradley described the film as “Restless is a fine debut that lives within its budget and speaks to all who have ever felt hopeless in the face of oppressive neighbours. More than a revenge horror, it’s about courage and conviction and the painful catalysts needed to coax our lives from complacency“.

RESTLESS is an edge-of-your-seat thriller that explores a topic we’ve all been subjected to in our lives: nasty neighbours. The quiet life of an empty nester is turned upside down in the blink of an eye when hard-partying – and potentially dangerous – new neighbours move in next door.

Mild-mannered care home worker Nicky works long hours, and between shifts lives an isolated life listening to classical music and watching snooker. When Dean moves in next door, he shatters her routines with late night parties and music booming through the thin connecting wall. Nicky decides her only option is to confront him – but it quickly becomes clear that violence is a very real possibility.

With no help from the authorities or her scared neighbours, Nicky discovers a new side to herself. Desperate for sleep, Nicky begins to take dangerous and increasingly erratic actions which escalate into a full blown war between the two next-door neighbours.

This film also stars Aston McAuley, Barry Ward, Kate Robbins, Denzel Baidoo, Matt Emery, Ciara Ford. Restless will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from 4th April. The film will also make it’s European Premiere at Glasgow Film Festival on 5th and 6th March [more info].
