Louis Leterrier & Omar Sy set To Reteam For New Netflix Film
What a great time to be a fan of Netflix‘s French crime drama Lupin. Season One took many people by surprise in a very positive way making the show one the channels best viewed shows of 2021. This Summer we will finally the much anticipated second half of the series, the Lupin connection is set to continue after second part of the new season ends.
The streaming giants announced today that the shows lead actor Omar Sy along with director Louis Leterrierย will team up once again, for a now untitled film.
Omar will reteam also with Laurent Lafitte (Little White Lies), the pair are reprising their roles from the 2012 action comedy โOn the Other Side of the Tracksโ.
Netflix have sent us the film’s synopsis
Ousmane Diakitรฉ (Omar Sy) and Franรงois Monge (Laurent Lafitte) are two cops with very different styles, backgrounds and careers. Many years ago they worked together but life took them apart. The unlikely pair is reunited once again for a new investigation that takes them all the way up to the French Alps. What seemed to be a simple drug deal turns out to be a high scale criminal case wrapped in danger and unexpected comedy.
This new project was born from the desire of Omar and Laurent to team up again on screen, 9 years after โOn the Other Side of the Tracksโ
Production started on March 15th in Paris and Rhรดne-Alpes region (France).
Netflix have confirmed the untitled film will be released globally on their channel from 2022.
