Lord Of War Sequel Finally Gets A ‘Start Date’
It’s been a long time coming but finally Andrew Niccol’s 2005 Lord Of War will get it’s sequel. Even better the crime thriller sequel will start shooting later this month!
When it comes to Nicolas Cage films, he’s starred in MANY films. We know very few of them we could call as good films, Lord Of War is one of those ‘good’ films. Fans of the original film will be delighted (as we are) two years after announcing the sequel was coming , production is about to start.
Variety are reporting production will kick off this month in Belgium and Morocco.
Nicolas Cage will once again reprise his role as notorious gunrunner Yuri Orlov. What we know about Lord Of War 2 aka Lords Of War 2 will find himself go head to head against his son. Following in his father’s footsteps Anton into the arms trade, who just happens to have his own private army. Whom go into conflict into the Middle East for the American army , kicking off a bitter rivalry.
The delay has given Niccol the opportunity to add to the film’s cast. Sylvia Hoeks (Blade Runner 2049) and Greg Tarzan Davis (Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning) have joined in undisclosed roles. They are joining Bill Skarsgård who plays Yuri’s adult son Anton and Laura Harrier.
Lords Of War 2 will be Niccol‘s first film he’s directed since the 2018 Anon.
