Long live the new flesh! Behold David Cronenberg’s Crimes Of The Future now has a UK Trailer! Vertigo Releasing have unearthed the spine-tingling Trailer, teasing the veteran filmmaker’s return to ‘Body Horror‘.

The film is the Canadian filmmaker’s first film since his Map To The Stars (2014). This year’s Cannes Film Festival was the stage this chiller made it’s world premiere and created a massive buzz ever since. Finally UK and Irish fans are only a few weeks from finding out if that buzz is worth it.

Crimes Of The Future stars Viggo Mortensen, Lea Seydoux and Kristen Stewart. We find ourselves in the near future, performance artist (Mortensen) publicly showcases his metamorphosis of his organs. He does it with the help of his wife (Seydoux), however himself under investigation by Timlin (Stewart) who obsessively tracks them.

Cronenberg created, shaped the sub genre and this teases he is still the master. It looks disturbing, darkly comedic most of all shock on every level.

As the human species adapts to a synthetic environment, the body undergoes new transformations and mutations. With his partner Caprice (Léa Seydoux), Saul Tenser (Viggo Mortensen), celebrity performance artist, publicly showcases the metamorphosis of his organs in avant-garde performances. Timlin (Kristen Stewart), an investigator from the National Organ Registry, obsessively tracks their movements, which is when a mysterious group is revealed… Their mission – to use Saul’s notoriety to shed light on the next phase of human evolution.

The rest of the cast includes   Scott Speedman Welket Bungué ,Don McKellar, Lihi Kornowski, Tanaya Beatty, Nadia Litz, Yorgos Karamichos, and Yorgos Pirpassopoulos.

Crimes Of The Future will be released by Vertigo Releasing in the UK and Ireland in cinemas from 9th September.
