Right up until today we’ve kept an optimistic, if not a neutral opinion about Rupert Sanders‘ upcoming Hollywood Live action remake of Ghost In The Shell. Masamune Shirow’s manga / Mamoru Oshii‘s anime is well loved not just by its Japanese fan base, it’s one of the very few Japanese animations which has a massive international fan base. Sadly today our patience has gone when we received the latest promo a TV Spot which has a new electro remix of the classic theme by Electro DJ Steve Aoki. Sadly it’s one that’s been butchered, angered outraged the already annoyed hardcore fan base. check out the video yourself below, see what you think….
It’s one of the most iconic themes in film and animation, DJ Steve Aoki is a superstar in the electro music scene. But like all good things bringing together 2 giants doesn’t always mean the end result be a good one. Aoki himself is a anime fan, however, Ghost In The Shell is not a ‘Spring Breaker’ movie, it’s sacred ground to many fans.
We’ll be honest, there will be many who will like this but to many fans, the live-action version of this movie has been a tough sell. So annoying them, even more, is possibly not a logical movie for Paramount. Thankfully this hasn’t made us hate this movie now, we’re even more intrigued to see this now. If you don’t like the music, turn the sound off and enjoy the footage you’ll see which includes new stuff. Also below is a number of new TV Spots for your visual entertainment
