LIFF 2011: Day 7 Video Highlights From BFI 55Th London Film Film Festival


BFI daily video highlights package has arrived, The Vodcast at the end of day 8 we have yesterday’s 7th day memories, the end of the first week week .On Day 7 of the Festival, Michel HazanaviciusThe Artist featured as the American Airlines Gala. Harvey Weinstein and actors Bérénice Bejo and Jean Dujardin attended the UK premiere screening.

Hollywood 1927. George Valentin (Dujardin) is a silent movie superstar. The advent of the talkies will sound the death knell for his career and see him fall into oblivion. For young extra Peppy Miller (Bejo), it seems the sky’s the limit – major movie stardom awaits. The Artist tells the story of their interlinked destinies.

At BFI Southbank, Makoto Shinkai presented the European premiere of Children Who Chase Lost Voices From Deep Below, and we see coverage of  the Filmmaker Tea at the May Fair Hotel.
