LFF2014 -Watch The Gala Sizzle Reel From The Imitation Game
Last Night the red carpet was rolled out in London’s Leicester Square as the stars turned out for the European Premiere of The Imitation Game, the opening film of 58th BFI London Film Festival.
The Imitation Game marks the English feature debut for Norwegian filmmaker Morten Tyldum (Headhunters) starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Alan Turring the mastermind who cracked the code the broke The Nazi’s Enigma machine. Cumberbatch was joined on the red carpet by his co-star Kira Knightley plus a host of famous faces from film and showbiz for the code breaking WW2 flick which potentially earn The Sherlock Holmes star a Oscar Nomination.
The Imitation Game is a nail-biting race against time following Alan Turing (pioneer of modern-day computing and credited with cracking the German Enigma code) and his brilliant team at Britain’s top-secret code-breaking centre, Bletchley Park, during the darkest days of World War II. Turing, whose contributions and genius significantly shortened the war, saving thousands of lives, was the eventual victim of an unenlightened British establishment, but his work and legacy live on.

The Imitation Game will open in UK cinemas from 14th November, co-starring Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode, Mark Strong, Rory Kinnear, Charles Dance, Allen Leech and Matthew Beard.
