Kids In Space In Mitsuo Iso’s The Orbital Children Trailer
Netflix have released the official Trailer for their upcoming sci-fi Anime series The Orbital Children.
Mitsuo Iso‘s space adventure sees kids in space, fighting for survival. The series will consist of 6 episodes and this will be Iso’s first time directing since 2007’s Coil – A Circle of Children (also known as Dennล Coil). Character design is from Kenichi Yoshida (Eureka Seven, Gundam: Reconguista in G, Overman King Gainer) with Toshiyuki Inoue is the main animator.
This series finds ourselves in 2045, AI has advanced to a point making it easy for anyone travel into space. When children born on Earth and the moon head to space ship Anshin, they find themselves stranded and fighting for survival.
The story begins in the year 2045, when AI has advanced and anyone can travel into space. Children born on the moon and children from Earth who are on a trip to space meet at the Japanese-built Anshin space station. The series will consist of six episodes and will be distributed worldwide!
The Japanese voice cast includes Natsumi Fujiwara (Shลnen Maid, 86) as Tลya Sagami, Azumi Waki (Girlfriend, Girlfriend, The Aquatope on White Sand) as Konoha Be Nanase, Kensho Ono (the go-to Japanese VA to dub Daniel Radcliffe) as Taiyล Tsukuba, Chinatsu Akasaki (Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, Fruits Basket) as Miina Misasa, Yumiko Kobayashi (JoJoโs Bizarre Adventure, Seven Deadly Sins) as Hiroshi Tanegashima, and Mariya Ise (Kakegurui, Made in Abyss) as Nasa Houston.
The Orbital Children premieres 28th January 2022, Globally out Japan only on Netflix. If you live in Japan the film will be released in cinemas in 2 parts. First film 28th January, second film 11th February 2022.
