Kevin Hart Is ‘Clinically Dumb’ In Night School Trailer
Sometimes in life things happen like losing a job force us to rethink our plans start again. Going back to college is one option and in Night School, Kevin Hart is going back.
Universal Pictures has released the first UK Trailer, Hart heads back to school to get the license to let him become a financial analyst. But as he starts the classes he soon learns one thing…He’s ‘clinically dumb’!
Star Kevin Hart and producer Will Packer, who partnered for the hit Ride Along and Think Like a Man series, bring their signature style to Night School. The comedy from director Malcolm D. Lee (Girls Trip) follows a group of misfits who are forced to attend adult classes in the longshot chance they’ll pass the GED exam.
Anyone that knows me I’m not the biggest fan of Hart especially when it comes to his filmography. Hart is on board this one with his production team, Heartbeat Productions with Malcolm D.Lee directing. Lee is the director of Girl Trip and one of the film’s main stars Tiffany Haddish co-stars.
There seems to be an 80’s nostalgia feel to the film. Comedy for a while seems to be the poor relation to the other genres and we haven’t had a decent comedy for a while. Whilst Hart had some success with Jumanji he’s never had a film similar success at the box.
Checking out this trailer, it has promise, all thanks to the on screen chemistry between Hart and Haddish. Girls Trip may not have been a major hit here in the UK, it faired better Stateside. Which makes this upcoming comedy potentially one to watch, if not for Hart finally meeting his comedic match!
Night School will be released in the UK, Ireland and the U.S from 28th September.
The film co-stars Rob Riggle, Taran Killam and Romany Malco.
