Jon Favreau’s The Chef Serves Up The First Trailer Online

After several years directing big CGI Blockbusters it’s always good to refresh the pallette go back to your indie roots and The Chef Jon Favreau, cooks up something special in the shape of the film’s first trailer.
The Chef follows Chef Carl Casper (Favreau) loses his restaurant job,but when he’s forced to venture out on a new career path and decides to launch a food truck. With the help of his ex-wife (Sofia Vergara), best pal (John Leguizamo) and his son (Emjay Anthony) they set up the van, hit the road re-igniting Carl’s love for food life in general.
The Chef new trailer proves this is another edition to the ‘food porn’ just don’t watch it on an empty stomach! Visually delicious. It’s been longtime since critics have had a sense of enthusiasm about a Jon Favreau film, probably last one was the first Iron Man movie. The early reviews back this up which is great stuff as this looks genuinely charming, quirky.
The Chef does have an UK date set and will arrive here on 20th June (USA 9th May). The film also stars Oliver Platt, Bobby Cannavale, Scarlett Johansson, Dustin Hoffman, and Robert Downey Jr.
SYNOPSIS:
Chef Carl Casper (Jon Favreau) suddenly quits his job at a prominent Los Angeles restaurant after refusing to compromise his creative integrity for its controlling owner (Dustin Hoffman), he is left to figure out what’s next. Finding himself in Miami, he teams up with his ex-wife (Sofia Vergara), his friend (John Leguizamo) and his son to launch a food truck. Taking to the road, Chef Carl goes back to his roots to reignite his passion for the kitchen — and zest for life and love.
