Now for the news…It’s 2026 and The People’s Movies are recruiting! Join us! We are looking News Writers and potentially a News Editor (tbc). Are you the one we’re looking for?

As a News Writer for us, you’ll work with our editors to create the best news stories from around the world. You’ll be sourcing the stories from the internet or sent directly to us, covering cinema, streaming, home entertainment, as well as covering the latest trailer posts, creating features and listicles. There might be opportunities to review as well.

A good standard of grammar and spelling is essential. We’re looking for a flexible and approachable attitude, lots of ideas and creativity, reliability and the ability to meet deadlines.

We use WordPress at The People’s Movies, so you’ll need a basic knowledge of how to create a post. For the potential News Editor role, experience in a similar position is a must.

That you have a passion for all things film and write in an honest, appealing style is a given.
