Johnny has a License To Fail In New Mortdecai UK Trailer

He’s quite an debonair but Johnny Depp has a new moustache and will appeal to some of the fairer sex, but in the new charming UK trailer for Mortdecai he has a license to fail.

January is turning out to be quite a month for spy comedies with the comic capers of Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman: The Secret Service but one week before Johnny Depp is all dapper but is his moustache the only thing licensed to fail?

Juggling some angry Russians, the British Mi5, his impossibly leggy wife and an international terrorist, debonair art dealer and part time rogue Charlie Mortdecai (Johnny Depp) must traverse the globe armed only with his good looks and special charm in a race to recover a stolen painting rumoured to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold.

Stephen Fry narrates this new trailer but no matter how much we love Mr Fry unfortunately the more we see of this film, the more we think Mortdecai looks stupid most of all not funny. it’s reminiscent of the old 1960’s absurd silly capers that Peter Sellars would star in, however how much we love to see Depp star in something successful he’s no Sellars.

Hopefully Mortdecai will prove all our doubts wrong co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor, Olivia Munn, with Jeff Goldblum, and Paul Bettany with the film arriving in UK 23rd January 2015.
